Lesser Known Alicorns - Honey Dipper

Description

It struck me that when we see a picture of an alicorn they are all beautiful, noble and powerful.  In every race there have to be some that…well… are not up to scratch.  So meet Honey Dipper.

Noted for his crocked horn, his gap toothed smile and his mullet mane.  This alicorn is into fishing, jawing, belly flopping into mud ponds on hot days and watching NasCart racing.  And you won’t be seeing him and the grand galloping gala any time soon.  The only time he would be seen in the palace at canterlot would be if the drains were blocked and they need someone skilled in fixing them.

But keep in mind that Honey Dipper knows to lift the seat when he goes to the toilet and then put it back down when he is done.  More than some stallions do.  So I guess in in his way he is a keeper.  Right ladies?

I love alicorns like this so much. All too often, there is the stereotype that alicorns are regal and pretty and pompous.
This is a nice break from all the super cliche alicorns out there. I love the idea of imperfect alicorns as well. After all, according to mendelian genetics, there's a 1/16 chance an alicorn can be born from a unicorn and pegasus. I really think there are hundreds of other imperfect alicorns out there, often written off as animation errors. Overall, I love the concept implemented for this pony. Simple colors, a humorous concept, and a good execution make this one of the best alicorns I have seen.
